First CD

Was just working here at my computer with itunes shuffling randomly through my music library. Reminded me that the first Compact Disc I ever owned was the soundtrack for Apollo 13, and that I still, to this day, enjoy the music from it.

What was your first CD? (not your first album, your first CD, tapes don't count) Do you still listen to it?

oddly enough it was Green Day's Dookie.

Which is actually still a decent album although when listened to almost seems tame compared to what is out there today.

Mine was classical compilation that costs around $6.99. I had just bought a CD player and didn't have any left over money to buy discs for it. That was the cheapest one I could find, so that's what I got.

I had know idea at age 16 that the disc was the beginning of a great adventure and I would grow to love the music more than anything else. It was the best $7 I ever spent.

The one and the only "Dance Mix '95" baby!

Featuring golden oldies like:

"Saturday Night" by Whigfield
"What is love" by Haddaway

And my personal favorite

"MACARENA" by Los Del Mar

Yes, my cd was a gem and you can now buy it on Ebay for $1.12!

ok, I think it might have been a cassette, but one of my first albums (I like to think it was a cd) was a gift from you at a hazzard's christmas... it was called "Seltzer" and was a compilation of the top christian alternative groups at the time: Plankeye, PFR, Johhny Q Public, Grammatrain, etc.

wow. what a disc full of terrible music, which I thought was wonderful at the time.
